Bears get due respect from Canadian Government

The Canadian Royal Mint is redesigning its coinage and they want you (well, Canadians) to vote for the name and persona of their new spokes-bear. We, at ATB love this idea. Maybe we should adopt a bear persona for one of our coins. New Alaska quarter designer guy I'm talking to you. See the Canadian Mints cute kids oriented site. [Canadian Mint] [Express]

OMG! Chocolate that helps Bears!

Ok, so I was at the Whole Foods and what do I see? A chocolate bar with a BEAR on it. I look at it and read the wrapper. Premium chocolate and a portion of the proceeds go to help endangered species (including three types of Bears). The company is called Endangered Species. Take a look.

Rangers at the Great Smoky Mountain national Park report greater than average black bear activity this fall. Ok, here at ATB we unabashedly love bears. But as a Washington resident there is no other bear cuter, smarter or more handsome as a our little Butterstick. So here are pictures of Atlanta's new addition. We love you like a bastard step-child.
