A Canadian teenager was rescued from an ice flow drifting in the Arctic Sea. The teen had murdered the bear and orphaned two cubs while stranded on the flow. It is not known if authorities also rescued the cubs.

Bear Kills Militants

The BBC reports that a bear living in Indian administered Kashmir killed two militants. I think these guys didn't know how to share with a bear.

Smarter then the average bear
The New York Times reports that Bear proof means merely bear learning, that bears are smart enough to figure
out how to open bear proof containers. What's important is this article shows the bears are
passing this on to other bears, showing they have a learning culture.
Maybe we can teach polar bears how to eat mussels and clams if seals become scarce up north.
