Evidence of Bear Unrest: No Honey, No Peace

Rangers at the Great Smoky Mountain national Park report greater than average black bear activity this fall. Biologists attribute the increased activity to a lack of natural food sources for the bears. Hikers are encouraged to aviod the bears when possible and not to leave food for them.
